The Myers-Briggs Company's executive management team draws on many years of experience both within the test publishing industry and within other corporate sectors.

President and Chief Executive Officer 

Jeffrey Hayes is President and CEO of The Myers-Briggs Company and has served as a member of the Board of Directors since 2005. Previously, Hayes served as Co-President, overseeing Finance and Accounting, Professional Consulting Services and more. Hayes has also served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Vice President of Operations at The Myers-Briggs Company. He joined The Myers-Briggs Company in 1987 and throughout his tenure has led corporate-wide strategic planning, provided corporate visioning, and overseen business operations.

Among his many contributions are the 2018 rebranding of the company, the transition from a C Corp to a B Corp Certified California Benefit Corporation, the 2016 acquisition of our largest European partner, the 2010 acquisition of our partner in Singapore, 2007 acquisition of APP, the company’s Asia Pacific distributor; the launch of The Myers-Briggs Company’s Professional Consulting Services practice in 2005; the conceptual development and implementation of The Myers-Briggs Company’s Technology Division and more.

Prior to joining The Myers-Briggs Company, Hayes held a number of management roles for international companies such as Marcelo Fiberglass Corporation in the Philippines and McBer and Company in Boston, Massachusetts. Hayes also serves on the board of The Association of Learning Providers (ISA). He received a B.A. with a major in English from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer

Cal is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Myers-Briggs Company. He joined the company in 2002, has served as a member of the Board of Directors since 2009, and brings more than 35 years of financial management and business experience to his current role. He oversees Finance & Accounting, Operations & Facilities, and Legal, Licensing, & Corporate Development Divisions. Cal was instrumental in the 2016 acquisition of OPP Limited, the company’s European distributorship; the 2010 acquisition of Hemisphere Consulting, the company’s Singaporean distributor; the 2008 sale of Davies-Black, the company’s former book publishing division; the 2007 acquisition of Australian Psychologists Press, the company's Asia Pacific distributor; and the acquisition of the Strong Interest Inventory® instrument in 2004.

From 2007 – 2012 Cal was a member of the board of directors of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world's largest professional association devoted to human resources management. Prior to joining the company, Cal was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Coppola Group of Companies, and Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Zoetrope Group, Francis Coppola's entertainment companies; Vice President and Corporate Controller of New World Entertainment, Ltd.; and a Manager in the Audit and Business Advisory Services division of Arthur Andersen & Co. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Global Management Accountant, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Utah.

Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

Liam oversees the financial stability of all of The Myers-Briggs Company's operations across the UK and Europe. He provides robust financial management to help The Myers-Briggs Company meet its ambitious strategic objectives, including new product development and further international expansion. Liam joined The Myers-Briggs Company (formerly OPP Limited in Oxford) in 2011 and has overseen the development of the business including the disposal of subsidiary entities.

Liam is a chartered accountant with over 25 years’ financial experience, having worked in public practice, multinational PLCs and SMEs. He brings expertise from the software, pharmaceutical and fleet-management sectors, with a focus on strong cash management and driving profit across the business. Liam is also a qualified business coach having trained with Meyler Campbell in the UK.

Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Bill Chapman joined The Myers-Briggs Company in 2015. He has a successful track record as an IT and Product Executive in technology, manufacturing, acquisitions, ERP deployments, eCommerce, and commercial product design.

Prior to joining The Myers-Briggs Company, he has been a Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Business Technology Officer, and Software Research Scientist, as well as founding a successful startup. Bill’s experience is based on various industries including manufacturing, distribution, services, channel selling, retail, R & D, warehousing and logistics. Bill graduated in his MBA program Summa cum laude and class valedictorian, and holds a B.S., Quantitative Analysis.

Vice President, Corporate Development, General Counsel and Secretary

Thad Stephens joined The Myers-Briggs Company in 2011. He oversees the Legal & Licensing Divisions and serves as corporate secretary to the Board of Directors. Prior to joining The Myers-Briggs Company, Thad was Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs at MegaPath Inc. (formerly Covad Communications), a national telecommunications services provider; Vice President and co-founder of Equilar, Inc., a provider of executive compensation data and analytics; and an associate in the corporate legal departments at three major law firms, including Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, where he started his legal career.

Thad received his B.A. in English from the Oberlin College, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and received his J.D. with distinction from Stanford Law School.

Vice President of Global Brand and Marketing

Jennifer Overbo joined The Myers-Briggs Company in 2009, serving in various marketing and product roles during her tenure. As the VP of Global Brand and Marketing, she is responsible for worldwide marketing strategy and brand development. Jennifer is passionate about helping individuals and teams reach their potential and has built her career working for organizations that exist to help people “be better.”

She holds an M.Ed. from the University of Virginia and began her career developing and managing counseling programs for underemployed women and later worked at University of California, Los Angeles, providing a range of career and recruiting services to students and employers. Just prior to joining The Myers-Briggs Company, Jennifer was Director of Marketing for Jones Knowledge, a holding company for a portfolio of online education companies including the first fully accredited online university. In her role as a manager and regional director for JobDirect.com, she helped establish the start-up’s west-coast presence and customer base before it was successfully sold to Korn Ferry International in 2000.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys volunteering with her daughter as a member of the National Charity League as well as digging into all things creative and design oriented.

Vice President, Human Resources & Organizational Development

Nicole Trapasso joined The Myers-Briggs Company in 2000. She brings to her role more than 20 years of experience in leading innovative HR management and organizational development with a practical focus on using best practices to build and sustain a learning culture that is supportive and empowering . During her tenure, Nicole has instituted cascading goals, performance management, succession planning, culture surveys, professional development, workforce planning, Be Better University, and numerous other initiatives that build accountable, resourceful, and resilient cultures where talented people want to work.

Prior to joining The Myers-Briggs Company, she was HR Manager at First World Communications, responsible for managing the full spectrum of HR from recruitment, management training, and employee relations to compensation, benefits, and payroll. She holds a B.A. in art history from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.
