Saving the sea from plastic
Get involved with Take 3 for the Sea, our new official charity partner
Want to make a difference on your days out?
Australian non-profit organization Take 3 for the Sea is fighting the destructive effects of plastic pollution on wildlife and the environment.
Their name is their message. They encourage people to take three pieces of litter away with them every time they visit the beach or waterside.
It’s so simple that anyone can do it—and The Myers-Briggs Company is spreading the word because Take 3 for the Sea is our new official charity partner 2023–24.
Our B Corp Team chose ‘protecting our environments’ as the theme for our charity partnership this year.
From the shortlist, employees voted for Take 3 whose impactful work focuses very clearly on the plastics pollution problem. Our global presence means we can promote their work globally and get involved with them locally through our regional offices.
The Myers-Briggs Company’s Oxford office already got their hands dirty. On Wednesday 26 July, employees volunteered to do group litter-picking sessions at two different nearby locations, gathering enough rubbish to fill two 660-litre capacity bins.
Liam O’Connor, Chief Financial & Administrative Officer for The Myers-Briggs Company in Europe, said, “The litter picking event was extremely rewarding. Getting out in the fresh air and doing our bit for the community was a real buzz. It was so nice to speak to local residents who really appreciated our help, which gave me a real sense that we were doing something that matters to people. Would love to do it again.”
