Brexit update
Key points relating to our goods and services
With the Brexit transition period having ended on December 31, 2020, we wanted to let you know a few key points relating to our goods and services:
- There is no material change in how we provide our goods and services as a result of Brexit, including delivery via our online platform, OPPassessment
- Shipment of paper-based materials to customers in the EU: we have prepared for the changes to customs, duties, and tariffs and do not foresee any cause for delay to delivery in terms of our own operations. However, we are aware that the position generally at ports may cause some delay and therefore recommend that customers should allow some extra time for delivery of paper-based products
- Customs, duties, and tariffs for shipments to the EU: we have made the necessary arrangements with our shipping agents, and customers should not see any shipping charges above the usual. However, we are aware that a few customers have received “brokerage” charges and we are working to rectify this. Please contact us if you are charged any duties additional to usual charges
- Data: to remain compliant with UK and EU data protection law, we have made some changes to our Terms of Business, Privacy Policy, and other privacy related documents. These are as a result of the UK now being outside the EEA (European Economic Area) and currently deemed a third country in respect of EU data. The changes are for the benefit of EU customers but have been applied to all UK and European terms and Privacy documents. Please see our Brexit statement, explaining the changes. Do contact us if you’d like any further information.
