OPP Chair joins Oxford University neuroscience committee

OPP’s Chairman Robert McHenry has been invited to become a member of the Oxford University Neuroscience Impact Committee.

The committee is responsible for maximising the impact of neuroscience-based research at the University to make a real difference in people’s lives.

Dr Robert McHenryThe Neuroscience Impact Committee's aim is to provide a direct and regular link with the major beneficiaries of neuroscience research at Oxford University. It is made up of senior researchers with a proven track record generating impact, along with representatives from industry, research charities and patient groups.

The committee is chaired by Professor David Clarke from Oxford University’s Department of Experimental Psychology.

Dr McHenry comments: “I am honoured to have been asked to join this prestigious group, which represents the leading edge of psychological research. It is possible that within the next decade, functional neuroimaging will replace many of the traditional forms of psychometric assessment that we use today.”
