The theme of this year’s conference is Type over Time, and OPP is presenting three interactive sessions at the event
OPP is a Gold Sponsor for this year's British Association for Psychological Type international conference, starting this week, and celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2014.
Our three sessions are allied to the 2014 conference’s Type over Time theme.
Research Consultant Richard Stockill and Principal Consultant Alice King will deliver “Time to Show the Impact”, an interactive session that explores the idea of effective development work. It is aimed at anyone working with type-based tools, and looks at ways of creating new and meaningful ways to evaluate type based interventions.
Head of R&D John Hackston will present “Type in Time and Space”, starting from the premise that time is often the missing dimension in our understanding of type. The interactive session will map and explore how an individual develops over time, drawing on OPP’s recent research into the relationship between type, culture, and our experience of time, using the Cultural Orientations Framework (COF).
Head of Group Learning Ingrid Manning’s presentation, “Perceiving function and orientation in relation to time”, is an exploration of the relationship to time of different type preferences, with a particular focus on Sensing and iNtuition.
The British Association for Psychological Type (BAPT) is a non-profit body of individuals interested in broadening and deepening their understanding of people through the lens of psychological type and related concepts. BAPT also aims to promote best practice and ethical standards in the use of the MBTI® and other type-related instruments.
