OPP is delighted to be partnering with Farrer & Co for a “Legal MBTI Learning Session” - an exciting new venture for MBTI practitioners within London law firms.
The event takes place on Wednesday 17 July 2013. The day’s theme will be “Using the MBTI to improve influencing and persuasion skills”.
Exclusively for law firm-based MBTI practitioners, the learning session presents a fantastic networking opportunity and a chance to share ideas on how the MBTI has been and could be used effectively within the legal sector. It also highlights the fact that the MBTI instrument is a key tool in development initiatives across key law firms in the Capital.
OPP consultant Gil Parsons will be running a session on how to develop influencing and persuasion skills. This will be followed by an open discussion on the theme led by Farrer & Co’s L&D team, where the delegates – L&D and HR professionals from 13 different law firms in London, including three from Farrer & Co – will be able to share ideas and experiences.
“As a recently qualified MBTI practitioner, I was keen to find out more about how I could enhance my understanding of MBTI and provide personal development support for our people – development that has real impact”, says Sarah Manning, Learning and Development Advisor, Farrer & Co. “With an emphasis on practical applications of the tool and through sharing ideas with other practitioners in our sector, this session will be an opportunity for us all to draw on our collective experiences and enhance how we work with MBTI within our respective firms.”
“As a firm, we are focused on continued professional development for the benefit of our people and our clients”, adds David Ball, Head of Learning and Development. “We have been using MBTI as part of the Firm’s development programmes for a number of years, but are always keen to look at new ways to challenge and develop our approach. By spearheading this event, we hope to encourage future similar initiatives amongst MBTI practitioners in our sector.”
Farrer & Co are based at Lincolns Inn Fields WC2A 3LH. They are an independent law firm with a centuries-long tradition of advising private families, individuals and charitable institutions. They also work with businesses and entrepreneurs, from asset managers and sports bodies to media groups.
