In-house coaching success in Birmingham

Attending an OPP course brings great benefits, no matter where the training takes place

When two L&D professionals at international law firm Wragge & Co decided to attend our ‘Coaching and Management Development Using the MBTI’ programme, the only issue was how to muster enough delegates to make it practical.

The facilities at the firm’s headquarters in Birmingham were excellent, the hosting discount would be considerable, and this was potentially a great networking opportunity.

Wragge & Co had no problem generating interest from their legal network locally, and the rest of the places were filled by OPP after sourcing keen coaches from other local companies. Jay Lutwyche, (Professional Development Manager, Wragge & Co), was very pleased with the results:

“The course was a great success, and OPP’s trainers were excellent. Their mixture of theory and practice struck just the right balance. The sessions built on our existing MBTI knowledge, and the new skills and techniques in our expanded coaching toolkit will bring great benefit to the people we’re working with.

“The course was a great networking opportunity too, sharing experiences and techniques with other coaches from the local network. Hosting the programme at our premises was a master stroke: we enjoyed a significant saving on costs, and found the OPP logistical team great people to deal with.”

It was a win-win situation: the requirements of two people blossomed into successful training for 12, along with enhanced professional connections and a good deal of money and travel time saved. The moral is, that wherever there’s a local network, there’s an opportunity to deliver OPP training on the doorstep.
