Ralph Mortensen, Ph.D., was recently selected as President of the American Board of Organizational and Business Consulting Psychology (ABOBCP). Dr Mortensen is Chief Psychologist at OPP’s US subsidiary IPAT (Institute for Personality and Ability Testing). The ABOBCP establishes the official certification criteria for organisational and business consultants in the US, ensuring that psychologists working in the business consultancy field are practising in an ethical and highly competent way.
The ABOBCP coordinates an assessment process through which successful candidates must prove that they meet the educational, training and experience requirements of the Board. Certification also includes passing an examination designed to assess the competencies required to provide quality services in organisational and business consulting psychology.
As President, Dr Mortensen will preside over board meetings and work with the ABOBCP officers and the American Board of Professional Psychology to coordinate activities and to serve the interests of the profession.
