Welcome to the Elevate® platform

Our new assessment platform for practitioners

In February 2025, The Myers-Briggs Company will begin transitioning our European customers from OPPassessment to our global Elevate® platform. Our current platforms, Shop and OPPassessment, will be retired, and Elevate will be your “one-stop shop” for purchasing products and administering assessments.

When will I be upgrading to Elevate?

Automated migration will begin in February 2025. Elevate will be available in French and Dutch from February 2025, and our roadmap of enhancements includes further translations in the future.

FAQs

Elevate is The Myers Briggs Company’s worldwide assessment delivery platform, which will soon replace OPPassessment in Europe. Elevate has the same core functionality as OPPassessment but is fresher and more up-to-date. Its more intuitive approach will make your life easier so that you can focus on what’s really important—helping your clients. Elevate also gives you access to all the latest reports and assessments from The Myers Briggs Company, such as the full suite of MBTI® offerings, including MBTI®Complete and the MBTI global assessment; FIRO® offerings; and TKI® offerings, including the TKI Team report.

All the products you purchase today will be available in the same languages on Elevate. See the “What products are available on Elevate?” FAQ for more detail on product availability.

An upgrade to Elevate is an invitation to move your current OPPassessment account to our worldwide assessment delivery platform. Elevate offers improvements over OPPassessment, which we will be phasing out. As we get closer to upgrading your account, we’ll keep you informed about the upgrade process and any steps you need to take. More details will be shared here as we move into 2025.

With OPPassessment and Shop closing in 2025, they won’t be subject to any enhancements or product releases. Elevate gives you access to the latest products from The Myers Briggs Company and offers all your digital products; you’ll soon be able to purchase physical products there too.

Elevate will also become the tool we use to on-board customers during the certification programs early in 2025.

On Elevate, any credits you purchase won’t expire, and if you upgrade early, you’ll receive free report credits, which will be added to your account.

Elevate will be available in French and Dutch in early 2025, and our roadmap of enhancements will include further translations of the platform. All the product languages you purchase today will be available on Elevate; see the “What products are available on Elevate?” FAQ for more detail on product availability.

OPPassessment and Shop will close in 2025. We’ll provide exact closure dates and more information at a later date.

Note that Elevate will become the tool we use to on-board customers during the certification programs early in 2025.

We suggest that you start to transition to Elevate to set up new projects, rather than creating them on OPPassessment. If you have any campaigns in progress, please get in touch with us so we can guide you as to the best steps to take.

Rest assured, once you transition to Elevate, we’ll continue to provide you with full access to your inventory on OPPassessment, including supporting you with best-fit reports and reprints.

You’ll have to upgrade to Elevate by the time we shut down OPPassessment in 2025. You have the option to move now, or we will make the transition for you as we get closer to retiring OPPassessment.

If you choose to let us transition you when we retire OPPassessment, you won’t lose your inventory, but any active campaigns you have will not be able to be migrated. We’ll still honor our data privacy commitments to you. Find out more here.

Should you decide not to upgrade early, we’ll notify you in advance of when we will be upgrading your account to Elevate.

Once you fill out the form on our Elevate Upgrade page, we’ll set up your account and you’ll receive an email from Elevate inviting you to complete your registration. You simply have to go in and set up a password.

You’ll find helpful FAQs and tutorials on your Elevate home page to get you started, and our Customer Support team are always available if you need help.

As we get closer to upgrading all practitioner accounts, we’ll share well in advance more information on what this process will look like.

You can continue to use OPPassessment until it is retired. We’ll be communicating further details as we approach the retirement date.

You can continue to use OPPassessment for ordering best-fit reports and reprints until the point that we retire OPPassessment. If you require access to best-fit reports or reprints after that date, please contact your account manager for assistance. See "How can I prepare for my upgrade to Elevate?” FAQ for more details.

For any new campaigns, we recommend ordering your reports on Elevate. However, you can continue to order reports on OPPassessment until its retirement.

If you don’t have any active campaigns on OPPassessment, just continue to use your new Elevate account as usual, and we’ll deactivate your OPPassessment account and transfer any credits you have.

If you have active campaigns on both platforms, we will guide you on when to close the OPPassessment campaigns to ensure that you have access to your information when you need it.

You are welcome to use your credits for any existing campaigns on OPPassessment. Prior to retiring OPPassessment, we’ll move any remaining credits to your Elevate account. As Elevate functions differently than OPPassessment, our Customer Support team will be in touch to ensure that your credits are applied appropriately. Please see our section on functionality for more information.

Yes, you can. You can continue to use your credits on OPPassessment, and we welcome you to do so for any existing campaigns. Prior to OPPassessment’s retirement, we’ll transfer any remaining credits to your new Elevate account. Please see our section on functionality for more information.

Elevate offers the same payment option types (credits, invoice, and credit/debit card) as OPPassessment. We don’t currently have the ability to accept payment with Amex or via iDeal and PayPal on Elevate. The DKK currency is not currently available in Elevate but we aim to have this available for you in Q2 2025.

Should you have any questions about payment methods on Elevate, please contact our Customer Support team.

No, your credits will not expire on Elevate as long as your account remains active, that is, as long as you continue to log in and use your account. We’ll send reminders to log in at least once every 12 months to renew your license.

If you do not log in to your account during a 12-month period, your account will be deemed inactive after 90 days, and unused inventory will be removed. You will be sent reminders before this happens.

We’re unfortunately unable to transfer existing campaigns, so please try to end any campaigns you are running or contemplating running within the next 3 months OR by the 2025 OPPassessment retirement date at the latest. We encourage you to download reprints and any best-fit reports as soon as possible, before we close down OPPassessment, and to create any new projects on Elevate; you’ll be ahead of the game.

Reports

When you’re invited to upgrade to Elevate, you’ll find all the reports that you order today as well as the latest reports from The Myers-Briggs Company not found on OPPassessment. If you’re a FIRO or CPI® customer, please get in touch with your account manager before registering for an early upgrade.

Physical and digital products

When we close down OPPassessment and Shop, our full product catalog, including ebooks and all physical products, will be available.

If you upgrade early, you will still be able to purchase products from the current Shop until it is officially retired.

All the product languages you purchase today will be available on Elevate.

No, company credits do not currently exist on Elevate; all credits are maintained within individual practitioner accounts. If you need shared credits or currently have company credits in your account, please speak to your account manager, who can discuss an alternative solution with you.

Elevate has the same core functionality as OPPassessment, but there are some functions that perform slightly differently, as follows.

Ordering reports

On OPPassessment, you choose the language of the questionnaire and the report. On Elevate, you choose the language of the report, and the respondent can choose the language in which to take the assessment, providing improved flexibility.

Buying with credits

Elevate does not currently support company credits. Inventory is owned by individual practitioners on Elevate and cannot currently be shared across accounts.

On OPPassessment, you buy credits for a report and choose the language for the assessment and report at the point of report generation. On Elevate, you’ll need to choose the language for the report when initially purchasing the credits.

Naming differences

  • On Elevate, prepaid credits are called inventory.
  • On OPPassessment, you set up campaigns to manage your respondents. On Elevate, you’ll manage your respondents in projects.
  • On Elevate, best-fit type is also referred to as verified type.

Enhanced experience

  • On Elevate, it’s possible to download a free project summary, which gives you a quick overview of all the participants in your project and their status. If your project includes the MBTI assessment, the overview will also include the participants’ MBTI types.
  • On Elevate, it is easy to manage in one place all the digital resources (reports and pdfs) you need. You no longer have to go to two different sites to accomplish this; everything is managed via the project on Elevate. You can also easily give your participants the Myers-Briggs® App via Elevate.
  • When you purchase digital products via Elevate, you’ll have immediate access to what you have purchased. You’ll no longer have to wait a couple of hours for the items to upload, as you do with OPPassessment and the online Shop.

Data retention

  • On Elevate, you can choose how long we retain your respondent personal information, including reports.  You can select periods between 18 months to indefinitely, which means it would be held in perpetuity, as long as you continue to hold an active Elevate account. If you do not choose your own data retention settings within your account, a default period of 20 years retention will apply, again provided you continue to hold an active Elevate account.  This gives you flexibility and control to manage how long we hold your respondent personal information.
  • On OPPassessment, there is no such flexibility, we only hold respondent personal information on OPPassessment for 18 months, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

Keeping your account active

  • Elevate is based on a subscription model. There is no fee for an Elevate subscription in the UK and Europe, but the subscription needs to be renewed once a year. When your subscription is about to expire, you will be prompted to renew it. Then, all you need to do is log in to your account, click Renew (which is free, of course), and agree to our Elevate Terms of Use. Your data and account are important to us, so we need to make sure we are always up-to-date!
  • Reminders are sent from Elevate to prompt you to log in, so make sure you save this email address [no-reply@themyersbriggs.net] in your safe email list. You’ll also receive messages if your account lapses and reaches the date when we need to permanently close it to give you the opportunity to renew it.
  • Contact our Customer Support team or your account manager if you want to discuss this further. More information can also be found at Elevate conditions page.
On OPPassessment, customers administer a single FIRO assessment, which powers both FIRO-B® and FIRO Business® reports. On Elevate, the administration process will change. You will first choose either the FIRO-B or FIRO Business report you want to generate. Based on your selection, the appropriate assessment—the FIRO-B assessment or the FIRO Business assessment—will be automatically assigned to your respondent. If both FIRO-B and FIRO Business reports are needed for a respondent, they will be invited to complete both assessments.

There’s no material difference. The FIRO assessment used on OPPassessment is a single assessment that combines all the questions from both the FIRO-B and FIRO Business assessments. Depending on which report is being generated—FIRO-B or FIRO Business—the appropriate subset of responses is pulled from the assessment responses.

On Elevate, instead of a single assessment, there are two separate assessments, which are used depending on whether a FIRO-B or FIRO Business report is being generated. In cases where both types of reports are used, the respondent will be invited to take both assessments. The FIRO-B assessment comprises 54 items, and the FIRO Business assessment comprises 30 items from the FIRO-B assessment. The FIRO assessment on OPPassessment comprises the same 54 items in the FIRO-B assessment on Elevate.

For your respondents, the move to Elevate may result in a more streamlined experience. Respondents using a FIRO Business report will only need to take the FIRO Business assessment, which comprises 30 items, rather than the 54 items required by the FIRO assessment on OPPassessment.

Please make sure that any campaigns you are running or contemplating running end within the next 3 months OR by the 2025 OPPassessment retirement date at the latest. We encourage you to download reprints and any best-fit reports as soon as possible, before we close down OPPassessment, and to create any new projects on Elevate.

Go ahead and set up your Elevate account; there’s no fee. Practice!

Your eligibility and all certifications will be transferred to your Elevate account, as well as any inventory, such as ebooks and credits, that you may hold.

You’ll continue to have access to your campaigns on OPPassessment until the platform is retired.

We’ll continue to honor our data privacy commitments with regard to respondent data.

OPPassessment will be retired in 2025. We are working hard to establish a set date and will be communicating updates about that date well in advance of the closure.

On Elevate, as with OPPassessment, we comply with all applicable data protection and privacy requirements, including UK Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, European GDPR and US California Consumer Privacy Act.

All processing of personal information, including collection, use, storage, and deletion, is handled under our global Privacy Policy.

For further information on how we process personal information, please see our Privacy Policy and our Data Protection Statement.
