MBTI publisher acquires OPP Ltd
CPP Inc., publisher of the MBTI®, FIRO® and TKI® instruments and other leading psychometric assessments has acquired OPP
In an exciting move for the two companies, CPP plans to create an internationally recognised brand umbrella for its expanding line of products and services.
Dr. Robert McHenry, Executive Chairman of OPP, said, “Having built up OPP over the past 27 years to be CPP’s biggest distributor, I’m delighted that the next phase for the business will see even greater collaboration between our two talented teams. I’m confident that the pooling of combined expertise in the world’s most popular and well-regarded psychometric tools will accelerate the delivery of innovative new products and service enhancements for customers, and for their clients.”
CPP, Inc., which publishes the world-renowned Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment, is based in Sunnyvale, California. “By combining these two great companies, we believe we will create something stronger than the sum of their respective parts,” said Jeff Hayes, President and CEO of CPP, Inc. “Together we will deliver on our mission to inspire everyone on the planet to know, use, and share the power of personality.”
Although we don’t expect OPP customers to see any immediate change to the way we operate and provide support, we do realise that customers and practitioners may have specific questions relating to the acquisition. To help with this, we have put together some answers to questions in this FAQ document.
