PraxisUnico Conference 2013: Inspiring Futures
OPP’s Head of R&D John Hackston will be one of the speakers at the conference.
John will be presenting research as part of a ‘Personality and Culture in Global Business’ workshop on 14 June.
The PraxisUnico Annual Conference is a vehicle for commercialisation professionals to meet and exchange views and experience. It features high-profile and specialist speakers invited by the Conference Committee to present subjects of topical relevance. The format is a blend of workshops, special interest groups and ample networking opportunities.
The theme for the 2013 conference is "Inspiring Futures". There will be a choice of workshops throughout the event-packed two days, each based on current research findings.
John’s contribution will propose that although certain values and behaviour can differ across national cultures, underlying personality is relatively constant. It argues that personality differences are more marked between people in different jobs than between people from different cultures.
Conference organiser PraxisUnico acts as a voice for the research commercialisation profession. Their mission is to encourage innovation, and to facilitate the interaction between the public sector research base, business and government.
