Psychologist in the pub event lifts off in Oxford

On 14 March, OPP’s Rob Bailey will be co-presenting a session for the BPS West Midlands Branch of Psychologist in the Pub.

Titled Mission to Mars: Team success with Coaching & Psychology, the meeting includes a practical session on how to use the 16PF in coaching for teams.

The speakers will be Rob Bailey, Principal Consultant, Research and Development, OPP Ltd, and Pauline Willis, Chartered Occupational Psychologist and Director, Lauriate Ltd.

Using as its launch-pad the recent Russian Mars500 experiment in which six astronauts spent 520 days on a simulated flight to Mars, the session champions an approach to team working that embraces the scientific and the pragmatic. It looks at how the strategic use of psychological tools and services can enhance the success and wellbeing of teams in all areas of life and business.

Information about the fascinating Mars500 mission will be presented in conjunction with a ‘hands on’ practice in interpreting the profiles of more down-to-earth teams. Get there early to enjoy a good seat in the cockpit – you’ll enjoy a two-hour flight, with lift-off at 7pm sharp.
