MBTI assessment turns 70!

At seventy years old, the MBTI® instrument currently enjoys a widespread popularity that boils down to one fundamental factor: it works.

Like all the best ideas, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator has grown over time, developed and refined as the years go by, maturing without getting out of date and never resting on its laurels.

The MBTI instrument is a truly international success story. In the seven decades since the tool’s inception, its publisher CPP and distributors around the world (such as OPP) have helped to evolve the questionnaire, ensuring that it works cross-culturally and optimising its reliability and validity. This scientific research backs up the hands-on experience of the millions of people who have experienced the MBTI tool in action and can confirm that all-important fact – it works.

In order to mark the instrument’s birthday, OPP’s CEO Penny Moyle has been celebrating the continuing impact of the tool. In her latest blog she discusses why it still works, and why such a huge number of individuals and organisations trust it.
