OPP is delighted to be supporting participants at the 2013 G(irls)20 Summit with the MBTI instrument.
Now in its fourth year, the G(irls)20 Summit is a non-profit organization that brings together women aged 18-20 from the G20 countries, Africa and the EU.
Its agenda reflects that of the G20 leaders’ talks, and delegates discuss innovative ideas that will empower women and girls so that they can contribute to the economic, political and social growth of their communities and countries.
Prior to the Summit, a qualified practitioner from event sponsor and founding partner Norton Rose will administer the MBTI questionnaire to the girls.
Farah Mohamed, President & CEO of G(irls)20 Summit commented: “This is an amazing opportunity for the delegates. The leadership session featuring the MBTI tool provides the delegates with insight about themselves and this allows them to draw on their strengths and be aware of their challenges. This self-awareness results in a more effective discussion and results. G(irls)20 is about cultivating a new generation of leaders, and, as we found last year when Norton Rose ran these sessions for the first time, the insight provided by the MBTI is a key development experience for the girls attending the summit.”
To date, the work of the G(irls)20 Summit has led to 13 delegate-led initiatives in the girls’ home countries. Farah and her team have also had great success getting the message across on various social media.
The 2013 G(irls)20 Summit takes place in Russia from 15 – 19 June. Find out more by visiting their website.
