Hands up if you use feedback from your manager to inform your team’s personal development plan for the year?

Not surprising as 66% of us do, but would it surprise you to know it’s ranked the least useful information for improving performance?

“A high level of self awareness is the strongest predictor of success”*

So where are we gathering the most useful information to improve our self-awareness, and therefore targeting what we improve to be most successful?

Luckily for you we’ve compiled research from across the globe to show us exactly how and why we gather feedback, and what impact our MBTI personality type has on the process.

We’ll be talking about where different personality types might go to gather information, and why certain personality types may shy away from gathering the feedback that will make the biggest difference to their performance. By understanding this, we aim to support both HR professionals and line managers to guide and support their teams to more structured, confident discussions that focus on the areas that will make the biggest difference to not just careers, but the everyday lives of employees.

We want you to leave with:

  • New avenues to help your teams to gather information about themselves
  • Ways to give your teams the confidence to face and embrace their inherent blindspots
  • Support for your teams to recognise and build on their natural strengths
  • A boost to your diversity conversation on how differences are not weaknesses
  • An understanding of how to harness personality for individual and team performance

If you’re not MBTI qualified, there will be a short introduction to personality types, but if you’d like to come feeling more prepared, you can watch our video “Harnessing the value of MBTI personality differences

If you are MBTI qualified, we’d love you to come along and share your experience of where you’ve supported teams and individuals to peak performance through improved self-awareness.
