The University Forum for Human Resource Development (UFHRD) is an international association for practitioners, learning-oriented organisations and universities. It seeks to create, develop and inform leading-edge HRD theories and practices. The UFHRD conference focuses on leadership, diversity and changing practices in human resource development across Europe, and takes in both research and practice.
OPP’s Head of Research John Hackston, and Support Consultant Nikhita Dost, will present the following papers at the UFHRD 17th Annual Conference in Manchester this June:
- Emotional Intelligence: is it more relevant than we think? – Nikhita Dost
- ‘Gut feel’ in strategic decision-making: insights from HR directors and cognitive confidence – Nikhita Dost and John Hackston
- Personality, engagement and the office environment – John Hackston
The Emotional Intelligence paper was created in collaboration with Tesco and reveals new findings about the impact of Tesco’s leadership development training based on the EJI tool.
This year will be the first appearance for OPP at the UFHRD conference, and it presents a great opportunity for us to showcase our research projects and psychometric tools in an academic HRD environment.
The conference takes place from the 8th to 10th June 2016 – find out more here.
