Accessibility Statement

Introduction

The websites of The Myers-Briggs Company Limited (the Company) cover our European operations and are operated by the Company. We are committed to ensuring that our websites are as easy to use as possible for users of assistive technologies.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use our websites in terms of technological and navigational use and we’ve made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

How accessible are our websites

We are not fully compliant with Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 but make continuing efforts to improve accessibility within our websites including our psychometric tests platform, OPPassessment.  We would refer you to AbilityNet for advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

Accessibility of OPPassessment

In respect of our OPPassessment platform specifically, on which practitioners administer our psychometric tests and respondents complete our psychometric tests, we have designed this platform using the Surf Right Guidelines outlined on the RNIB website (http://www.rnib.org.uk/about-rnib/web-accessibility-statement), with particular emphasis on the following aspects:

  • Tests for resizing text
  • Tests for colour contrast
  • Ease-of-use tests

We would refer you to AbilityNet for advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

Increasing font sizes on OPPassessment

The majority of font sizes on OPPassessment can be increased or decreased using the standard accessibility functionality built into the most popular browsers. OPPassessment does not provide any specific additional functionality.

For Chrome, Edge and Firefox users:

  1. Press Ctrl and + to zoom in, or Ctrl and - to zoom out.

For Internet Explorer users:

  1. Select "Zoom" from the Tools icon

or

  1. Select "View" from the menu bar
  2. Select "Text Size"
  3. Select your preferred size
Using a keyboard on OPPassessment

We have endeavoured to make OPPassessment accessible using only a keyboard. If you discover an area which is difficult to navigate using a keyboard, please let us know. You can navigate around OPPassessment using the standard keyboard functions available on most browsers:

  • Use the Tab key to move between links and form fields
  • Press the Return key to follow links or submit a form when they are selected
  • Press the Space bar to fill in a checkbox
  • Use the "arrow" or "cursor" keys to move through drop-down menus and radio buttons
Use of OPPassessment by people with disabilities

OPPassessment has been designed to follow best practice in the testing of people with disabilities:

  • Microsoft and other standard packages are used to distribute questionnaires to respondents and as the testing application. Therefore, standard Microsoft and other accessibility features should integrate without any problems
  • The web sites use clear, large, sans-serif fonts against a light background
  • There are no aural cues
  • Scroll bars and other features requiring fine motor skills have been kept to a minimum

However, those with severe visual disabilities will find any on-screen system difficult or impossible to use. In these circumstances, consult the respondent, who has more experience than you of working with their disability. You may wish to consider paper-based administration or asking a helper to read out questions.

We expect the OPPassessment respondent site to work with screen readers such as JAWS. If you encounter and specific problems, please contact Customer Support.
